Set within a 1900s apartment block in Valencia, Spain is Casa Artista, the flexible live-work home of illustrator Pablo Sahuquillo and his cat, Lomo. Designed by his brother architect Guillermo Sahuquillo of SahuquillodeArriba, the single flowing space features movable glass partitions, multifunctional furniture, and adaptable workspaces that allow the apartment to shift between living, working, entertaining, and privacy. A central sculptural plywood bookcase conceals the bathroom while connecting each area of the home. Original ceramic floors uncovered during the renovation have been carefully restored, while warm plywood, colourful finishes, artwork, and plants reflect Pablo’s eclectic personality, creating a home that’s both highly practical and deeply personal.
