DAIGO has been making diaries and planners in Japan since 1944. At their factory in Nara, more than a hundred people turn sheets of paper into notebooks using Ito Toji, thread-sewn binding, a slower and more expensive method than the glue used in most paperbacks. It’s what lets a book fall open flat and still hold together.
